Project Strategy & Goals:
Capturing material palettes and mood boards takes technical skill and an artistic eye.
On the technical side, it involves diffusing light to manage reflective surfaces like tile, glass, and glossy hardware to avoid unwanted glares. Using risers under materials create layers, depth, and straight angles. The arrangement of the shot can draw attention to specific elements, and lighting can create lots of different drama, depending on the style you’re going for.
This process requires an eye for design. Knowing what materials not only go together, but also what combinations could inspire a real customer looking to purchase a product is important.
As an interior designer who has worked with clients, I can pull together material palettes in a variety of design styles. I can style your product in line with current trends or create a unique collection that invites fresh interest.
